JOINT INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR
INVITATION TO ISRAELI COMPANIES TO HOST BUSINESS PROJECTS
The University of Haifa's Graduate School of Management MBA Program in partnership with the Shanghai International MBA Program (SIMBA) at the University of Tongji are running a special project-based seminar, March - April 2010 inShanghai. Israeli Projects will be based on specific issues of companies operating in or planning to enter China. You are invited to submit 1 or 2 project proposals for your company.
A project team of four students (two Israeli and two Chinese) will work on each project. Students from the MBA Programs of Haifa and SIMBA are typically aged 35-40 and have considerable business experience.
The goal of the seminar is to create the opportunity for mature Israeli and Chinese MBA students to gain the experience of working together in multinational teams. The highlight of the seminar is Team Projects, which include the collection of background data, interviewing company managers in Israel and China, data analysis, presentations and report writing. The projects will be real, concerning a specific issue or problem in the field of strategy, management or marketing of actual Israeli companies working in China.
This Joint International Seminar will result in mutual benefits for all the participants.
It will provide a memorable personal learning experience of practicing real teamwork on real international business issues in a real environment.
Benefits to the Project Companies
Israeli companies are invited to participate in this unique seminar by proposing projects for the student teams. The host company will receive a final report in which one or two of their business problems or challenges will be analyzed by a team of MBA students, supervised by senior academic staff. The benefits to the host company are that they will receive a business report produced by a highly-motivated multinational team, using the latest analytic techniques and conducted at a very high professional level: all at minimal cost.
